Terms of Service & Supply
Last Updated: October 2026 • Official commercial policy governing materials supply, site delivery, and contractor credit.
1. General Provisions & Acceptance
These Terms of Service & Supply govern all commercial transactions, quotations, proforma estimates, sales orders, site deliveries, and credit facilities provided by GREM Enterprises and General Supply (referred to herein as "GREM", "we", "us", or "our"), with registered operations, factory yard, and warehouse depots situated in Mwanza, Tanzania.
By issuing a purchase order, accepting a proforma quotation, paying an invoice, receiving a delivery consignment, or logging into our digital customer portals, the client ("Purchaser", "Contractor", or "Client") unconditionally accepts and agrees to be bound by these Terms.
2. Quotations, Pricing & Proforma Validity
All prices published online via our public catalog or quoted in official proforma invoices are denominated in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) and are inclusive of standard Value Added Tax (VAT) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Proforma Validity Period: Standard proforma quotations generated via our digital system are valid for a maximum of seven (7) calendar days from the date of issue.
- Market Commodity Fluctuations: Due to volatility in national rolling mill tariffs and bulk cement distribution prices, GREM reserves the right to revise unconfirmed quotes for structural steel rebar and bulk Portland cement prior to receipt of official payment confirmation.
- Fixed-Price Lock: An agreed quotation becomes locked and non-revisable upon receipt of the agreed deposit or full settlement into our authorized accounts.
3. Payment Methods & Cashier Settlement
GREM Enterprises operates a strict cashless-preferred settlement policy for all site dispatches and depot pickups. Approved payment channels include:
- Mobile Money: Official Vodacom Lipa Namba (Merchant Till: 5489210), Tigo Pesa, or Airtel Money with immediate cashier code reconciliation.
- Direct Bank Transfer: Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT/TISS) into designated CRDB Bank or NMB Bank commercial accounts registered under GREM Enterprises and General Supply.
- Cash at Counter: Accepted at our designated cashier desks with immediate thermal receipt and TRA EFD voucher issuance.
4. Commercial Contractor Credit & Collateral Security
Approved commercial building contractors, civil engineering enterprises, and institutional developers may access credit facilities subject to formal approval by GREM Management:
- Collateral Deposit: High-volume credit accounts require registered security collateral (such as verifiable commercial vehicle logbooks, landed property title deeds, or recognized bank guarantees) deposited with GREM Enterprises.
- Settlement Cycle: Approved credit balances must be settled strictly within the agreed payment grace period (typically 14, 30, or 45 calendar days).
- Automated POS Lockout: In accordance with our risk management policy, the system will automatically suspend credit dispatch capabilities if an account exceeds its agreed Credit Limit or carries overdue unpaid balances past the due date.
5. Logistics, Site Delivery & Offloading Conditions
GREM Enterprises maintains a heavy commercial delivery fleet comprising 7-ton and 3.5-ton tipper trucks for on-site transport across Mwanza City and surrounding Lake Zone districts:
- Site Road Access: The Purchaser is solely responsible for ensuring that the destination construction site features adequate access roads, vertical clearance, and safe ground conditions capable of supporting loaded heavy commercial trucks.
- Demurrage & Waiting Times: Offloading must commence promptly upon arrival. If delivery trucks are detained on-site due to unready labor or obstructed site access for more than two (2) hours, standard vehicle demurrage charges may apply.
- Delivery Gate Passes & Waybills: Every dispatched delivery vehicle carries an official GREM Delivery Gate Pass bearing an anti-counterfeit QR code, verifiable in real-time at grementerprises.com/verify.
6. Inspection, Quality Standards & Breakage Tolerance
Our machine-pressed concrete blocks are manufactured to meet Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) guidelines with target compressive strengths between 7.5 MPa and 10.0 MPa.
- Inspection Upon Offloading: The Purchaser or their authorized site foreman must inspect the consignment immediately upon delivery and sign the driver's dispatch waybill acknowledging receipt in good condition.
- Standard Transit Allowance: In line with East African industrial building supply norms, a standard tolerance of up to two percent (2%) transit fracture or chipping is accepted on concrete masonry blocks due to transport over rough terrain.
- Claims Window: Any claim regarding variance in quantity, broken bags, or physical defect must be reported to GREM in writing or via WhatsApp sales desk within forty-eight (48) hours of site arrival.
7. Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) Fiscal Compliance
GREM Enterprises complies 100% with the Electronic Fiscal Device (EFD) regulations of the United Republic of Tanzania. An official TRA EFD fiscal receipt is generated for every commercial transaction, recording our Tax Identification Number (TIN: 141-866-932) and VAT Registration Number (VRN: 40030431S).
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any contractual disputes arising from supplies or services shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the substantive laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Both parties agree that any unresolved disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Mwanza.
